Submission Guidelines & FAQ:

Thank you SO much for engaging with our craft night prompts! We hope you found some inspiration and had fun creating your work. 

Each month, we aim to include a breadth of mediums, interpretations, and artists for each prompt. We encourage everyone to submit, but first want to make sure you have all the info about the process:

When are monthly prompts posted?

We post each month’s prompt one week in advance! This way you have some time to reflect and create. In addition to each prompt, we'll post an example work. 

There may be some occasional delays, so bear with us if that happens.

How do I submit my work?

You submit your work through the forms on this page (also linked on Instagram and posted on Geneva each month)! Submissions are rolling throughout the month, but earlier in the month is encouraged :)

How do you decide what submissions are published? What is the review process?

Selections are not made using a traditional art critique or technical skill evaluation. We're looking for engagement with the prompt and your voice above all else! 

The things we take into consideration are:

• Has your work been published on craft night before? Depending on the number of submissions each month, priority will be given to folks who did not have work published the previous month. However, if there are fewer submissions, you could certainly have your work published in back-to-back months.

• Priority will also be given to folks in the LGBTQIA+ community and BIPOC folks. If you are an ally, we hope you will engage with craft night while also making space for queer, BIPOC artists to have their work shown at the forefront.

• Finally, work that is discriminatory or hateful will not be accepted.

How do I know if my work will be published?

Whether your work is accepted or not, you'll receive an email letting you know. If your work is not selected to be featured on the craft night website, your work will still be shared on Instagram - unless you've indicated that you do not want it on Instagram on the submission form.

When will my work be published?

Works will be published before the end of the month. Please allow time for us to review all submissions! While waiting, please explore the other published artworks :) Don't forget to share the link to your work and the other artists' work with your friends and family!
